The main jumper is made from Saako, the bottom and socks are made from the wool of Saako’s son “Keito”, born in 2022, and the hat and scarf are reconstructed from knit items collected from sheep lovers who gather at Aichi Farm.

This year, Saako the sheep turned three years old. I knitted a knit for Saako last year, so I have received two precious years’ worth of wool from her life time. Every spring, the Aichi farm shears the wool and gives us warm wool. And Saako will continue to live. I must continue knitting to pass on the warmth I have received from the sheep.

Material: Saako Wool/Knitting Wool/Vintage Wool Knitwear

Photography by YASUNARI KIKUMA / ©︎ FASHION FRONTIER PROGRAM
[/vc_column][/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column][wr_vc_titles text_align=”text-left” title_style=”headline-xl” padding_top=”padding-top-30″ padding_bottom=”padding-bottom-30″][wr_vc_title title=”FFP2022″][/wr_vc_titles][vc_empty_space height=”20px”][wr_vc_titles title_style=”headline-m” padding_top=”padding-top-30″ padding_bottom=”padding-bottom-30″][wr_vc_title title=”Cómhaireachtáil caorach agus daoine”][/wr_vc_titles][vc_empty_space height=”20px”]
<span data-sheets-root="1" data-sheets-value="{"1":2,"2":"TherThere are many steps involved in the process of turning the sheared wool from sheep in the spring into clothing.
