Introduction

 

As applicants, you are entitled to the appropriate protection of your personal data based on the applicable data protection laws (your name, telephone number, email address, etc.).
In this policy, we explain general rules of our privacy and data protection, such as, which personal data we collect, how and why we collect it, what we do with your personal data, who we share it with, how we protect it, and the options you can choose about your personal data.

 

 

What personal data do you collect?

 

In course of our services and contents (hereinafter referred as the “Contents”), we may collect the following personal data:
・Your name, address, gender, nationality, telephone number, email address;
・Necessary information for us to communicate with you via LINE, SNS, or any other communication tools;
・Our communication log;
We may record the communication log between you and us (in a format of text, message, photograph, images, videos, recording, applications, and other communication log). And in case when you provide such communication log voluntarily to us, we may keep and record such information.

 

We highlight that your personal data can be processed, subject to the applicable data protection laws (including GDPR) only if:
・You expressly give us your consent for our processing your personal data. Please note that you will always have the right to withdraw such consent;
・It is necessary to perform the contract to which you are a party;
・With a legitimate interest for the processing it; or

How long do you keep personal data?

 

We keep your personal data subject to the applicable laws in Japan and EU. Accordingly, we will only keep your personal data/information for as long as necessary for the purposes of the processing it (For more information on how long certain personal data is likely to be removed or destroyed from our system or database, please contact us in a manner specified on Article 7 of this policy.).

 

 

Who do you disclose your personal data to?

 

We will not disclose personal data to a third-party, except for the cases such as:
・When we obtained your prior consent;
・When it is applicable and permitted by the Act on the Protection of Personal Information, or any other applicable laws and ordinances; or
・When we have to outsource the part of operations, as needed in connection with corporate transactions to provide the Contents, to a third-party, or merger, consolidation or liquidation of all or part of the company’s business.

In any case, we ensure that the third-party we share with your personal data commit to protect your personal data in an appropriate manner as required by the applicable laws.

 

 

What kind of rights do you have?

 

You have the rights to:
・Be informed of the information how we treat, handle or process your personal data;
・Request to erase or revise/correct your personal data;
・Data portability to receive your personal data in an appropriate structured, and commonly used format for transmitting it to another controller (if applicable);
・Access your personal data to know whether we are processing your personal data appropriately, or maintaining accurate and up-to-date records of your personal data;
・Make an objection regarding the processing or treatment of your personal data; and
・Not being subject to profiling, or any other similar purpose, without your prior consent.

 

 

How are my personal data kept safe?

 

We will make best efforts to process personal data in an appropriate manner and protect personal data by strict safeguards against accidental loss, accidental use, modification, and unauthorized access. We assure you that we will:
・Record all the data processing action;
・Inform the relevant authority in case of data invasion;
・Assess how much each personal data are important and sensitive to you, and the risk and concern in case of breach of the personal data; and
・Assign responsible manager for the overall personal data protection.

Your personal data may be transferred to, and processed by, recipients which may be outside Europe. In connection with such transfer of your personal data, we will implement appropriate measures to keep an adequate level of protecting your personal data, as required by the applicable laws.
