Announcement of the Launch of FFP Artist Management

FASHION FRONTIER PROGRAM (FFP) was established in 2021 and is now entering its fifth year.

We are pleased to announce the launch of a new Artist Management division within FFP.

Many members of the FFP secretariat have personal experience working as artists or creators.

To further develop their work, artists must take on responsibilities beyond creating—such as communicating with stakeholders and clients, managing schedules, and negotiating fees. For those working internationally, language barriers can also arise. From their own experiences, secretariat members know firsthand how difficult it is to balance both creation and management alone.

Through running FFP, we have often received inquiries from companies wishing to connect with our finalists, and in the process of bridging those relationships, we have also received requests for management support. In response, we decided to create a framework to provide such assistance to those who need it.

We believe one of the most important forms of support FFP can offer is creating an environment where artists can focus fully on their creative work.

Bringing something new into the world requires tremendous energy. Sometimes, it is necessary to organize competing priorities and create a setting where that energy can be directed toward creation. At FFP, we will provide management support so artists can create with peace of mind.

This initiative stems from my own early career experience, when I struggled greatly with management and felt the difficulty of pursuing creative work while carefully weighing various risks. That is why I believe a bridge is needed—one that enables creators and society to connect in the best possible way.

All those selected as FFP finalists will be entitled to receive this management support. My hope is that for as many artists as possible, this platform becomes a space to seek their own path and unique style, rather than relying on past success models.

■What is FFP Artist Management?

FFP Artist Management is the artist management agency operated by the FASHION FRONTIER PROGRAM. FFP organizes awards and educational programs for designers who combine unique ideas with a perspective of social responsibility, pioneering new frontiers in fashion. All individuals who have been selected as finalists of FFP will be entitled to receive this management support.

The fashion industry faces a wide range of challenges. We welcome collaboration with designers/creators/artists who have the vision to overcome these challenges, and with those who seek to explore the role fashion can play in society. We are also open to inquiries from individuals or organizations interested in realizing projects together, or wishing to acquire works. Please contact us through the inquiry form on our website.
